National Geographic Traveler UK will present special edition dedicated to Peru

The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPerú), informed that in September the National Geographic Traveler magazine, a UK version, will publish a special edition where it will have the benefits of Peru as the star of the edition.

In the magazine, 16 pages will be dedicated with the best of the attractions that Peru has, as well as culture and nature, the Amazon region will be highlighted along with the famous Lares trek, highlighting the wonderfulness in unique landscapes that this route has, ending in the imposing Machu Picchu.

For this edition you could not miss the attractions of Cusco, both in what it offers as a city, the magazine considers it a very attractive place that combines Inca heritage, colonial history and contemporary creative sensibility with style, and in regards to Nature the mountain of seven colors (Vinicunca), has a special mention, highlighting the route that is worthwhile to appreciate this gift of nature and its colors.

National Geographic Traveler plans to present to his British reader, also, some pages dedicated to archeology, pisco and Peruvian cuisine. The magazine has a circulation of almost 40,000 print editions and a reading community of its virtual version of 409,000 people.

This publication is a showcase of great importance to promote the attractions of Peru in the United Kingdom, even more knowing that last year they came from that island nation consisting of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, 74,124 tourists, which represents 7% growth compared to the same period of 2017.

In the study called Profile of the Foreign Tourist, made by PromPerú, where it is sought to know what the tourist liked and disliked from his stay in Peru, he showed that the average expenditure of the British visitor is $ 1,849 during his stay.

And it does so in an average of 15 days, looking for more activities that have to do with culture, nature and adventure sports, eventually leaving gastronomic tourism.
